Accused 'Craigslist killer' says two potential victims escaped death - paper

By David DeKok HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - A woman dubbed the so-called Craigslist killer suspect, who is accused of luring a man to his death through the classified ad website, claims two other men responded to her online post but failed to show up to their planned meetings, according to a jailhouse interview published on Sunday. The accused killer, Miranda Barbour, 19, who in an earlier interview said she had killed at least 22 people, named Big Lake, Alaska; "They are looking for full bodies," Barbour told reporter Francis Scarcella in the jailhouse interview. But they will find body parts." Barbour and her husband, 22-year-old Elytte Barbour, have pleaded not guilty to the stabbing and strangling in November of Troy LaFerrara, 42, whose body was found dumped in an alley in Sunbury.


33 arrested in Rajasthan for assaulting policemen

Jaipur, March 30 (IANS) Police Sunday arrested 33 people who seriously injured eight policemen including an inspector during a drive against illegal mining in Rajasthan, officials said. According to the police, the incident occurred Saturday night when a team of policemen went to stop illegal mining on Arawali Hills in Alwar, some 150 km from Jaipur. "The team was led by Tapukara police station inspector Rajpal Singh. The policemen had followed a truck carrying illegal mined stones from the hill.

The municipal elections have become a crisis referendum on Erdogan and his Islamist-rooted AK Party after weeks of scandal he has cast as a "dirty campaign" of espionage to implicate him in corruption and topple him. "Today it is what the people say which matters rather than what was said in the city squares," Erdogan told reporters as he voted in Istanbul, his supporters chanting "Turkey is proud of you" outside the polling station.




Delhi Police constable killed in accident

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS) A 25-year-old Delhi Police constable was killed in a road accident when the motorcycle he was riding pillion on was hit by a municipal corporation garbage truck, police said Sunday. The motorcycle rider was injured but is said to be out of danger. The incident took place around 10 p.m. Saturday in Model Town area of north Delhi when constable Ajendra, who joined Delhi Police in 2010, was returning home from duty on a motorcycle he had taken a lift on. The motorcyclist and Ajendra had just gone a few metres when the garbage truck hit them.


Seven killed, 33 injured in Rajasthan accidents

Jaipur, March 30 (IANS) At least seven people, including three students from a Delhi institute, were killed and 33 injured in two road accidents in Rajasthan Sunday, police said. Three students, including two girls, were killed and three others injured when their car overturned near Jaisalmer, some 500 km from Jaipur, police inspector Jetha Ram said. The six students had come to Jaisalmer from Delhi Saturday and were returning after spending a night at a resort when the accident occurred around 10.30 a.m., he said. The injured students were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur.


Woman alleges gang rape in Delhi

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS) A woman was allegedly gang raped by a doctor and his friend here, police said Sunday. The woman, 40, informed police that a doctor named Relia, 75, and his friend Kishore Chand Narang, 80, gang raped her at a Hauz Khas house in south Delhi Saturday afternoon. "The duo then dropped the victim outside the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Centre at about 5.30 p.m.," said a police officer, as per the allegation of the woman. The woman said one Raj Narayan, 40, whom she knew for the past five years, took her to the dispensary of the doctor to get her a job.
