Knife-wielding student wounds 22 in Pennsylvania school

The attacker moved furtively through Franklin Regional High School halls, stabbing his victims in the torso and slashing their arms and faces, students and officials said. The unidentified sophomore suspected in the attack was in police custody, said Tom Seefeld, chief of police in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Then two seniors were running down the hall and we followed them out of the school." The attacker, described by a classmate as a quiet person who kept to himself, started his rampage at around 7:13 a.m. (11:13 GMT), walking along the hallways to several classrooms at the school in Murrysville, 20 miles (32 km) east of Pittsburgh, officials said.

Heigl, the star of the films "The Ugly Truth" and "Life as We Know It" and a best supporting actress Emmy winner for "Grey's Anatomy," filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in New York federal court. The complaint said she was photographed in March near a Duane Reade store in New York while filming a new television series. Duane Reade posted the photo on its Twitter and Facebook account with captions advertising the store without her approval, the complaint said, Duane Reade did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

One Trinamool worker killed, party holds Election Commission responsible

Kolkata, April 10 (IANS) A Trinamool Congress supporter was killed in West Bengal's Murshidabad district Wednesday, following which the state's ruling party held the Election Commission responsible for the incident that occurred "hours after the EC transferred the SP". The police said the Trinamool worker was killed while another person was injured when miscreants attacked them with bombs and other weapons at Palaspur under jalangi block of the district. Soon after the killing, Trinamool all India general secretary Mukul Roy claimed the 28-year-old Trinamool worker "has been murdered in cold blood within 24 hours of transfer of the SP in the district". "The Election Commission has to bear the responsibility of the murder of the Trinamool worker in Murshidabad," he said.
