BEIJING (Reuters) - An employee of China's central bank shot and killed two colleagues on Wednesday at the branch he was working at in the northeastern province of Liaoning, the Xinhua state news agency reported. Incidents of gun violence are rare in China as firearms are tightly controlled and private gun ownership is restricted. Xinhua said the gunman, armed with a hunting rifle, also wounded two people, who were in stable condition. At least three Somalis killed in attack on U.N. convoy in capital - police

MOGADISHU (Reuters) - A car bomb struck a United Nations convoy in the Somalia capital Mogadishu on Wednesday, killing at least three Somalis who were not U.N. staff members, police and a U.N. spokesman said. "The U.N. convoy was passing outside the airport. Three people died including a policeman and two Somalis who were bodyguards of the U.N.," Ahmed Nur, a senior police officer told Reuters. Former Cake drummer gets prison for child molestation

(Reuters) - A former drummer in U.S. alternative rock band Cake has been sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison for molesting a three-year-old girl in 2009, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said. Peter Ivan McNeal was found guilty in March 2013 of one count of sexually molesting a child 10 years old or younger, the Attorney's Office said on Tuesday. McNeal molested the girl on Thanksgiving in 2009 at a home where he was a guest in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles, the statement said. ...


Japanese woman arrested again over genitals art work

TOKYO (Reuters) - Tokyo police on Wednesday arrested a Japanese artist for displaying figurines modelled on her vagina and distributing digital data used to build a yellow kayak based on her genitals. The owner of an adult goods store where Megumi Igarashi, 42, who works under the alias Rokudenashiko, displayed her works, was also arrested on obscenity charges, police said. "They showed obscene figurines in a glass case so that people coming to the shop could see it," said a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department who declined to give his full name.
