| A Bosnian Serb civilian official during the 1992-95 war was indicted on Monday of war crimes against hundreds of Bosnian Muslims and Croats, including murders, torture, persecution and robbery. Thousands of non-Serbs were killed and tens of thousands driven from their homes or detained in camps around the strategic town of Brcko during a Bosnian Serb campaign to "ethnically cleanse" the area early in the Bosnian war. Djordje Ristanic was head of the Brcko War Presidency from May to December 1992 and controlled military, police and paramilitary units that committed the crimes there, said a spokesman for Bosnia's special prosecutor for war crimes. |

 By Nita Bhalla NEW DELHI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Authorities in the Indian capital plan to speed up rape trials and lower the age at which juveniles can be prosecuted as adults following two alleged gang rapes of young girls, Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday. Two juveniles were arrested on Sunday following the rape of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl in west Delhi. The two cases triggered protests over the weekend, and Kejriwal said he had set up a panel of ministers to examine ways to curb sex crimes and strengthen the security of women and children in the city of 16 million people.

 The FBI and the Secret Service are investigating reports that CIA Director John Brennan's personal email had been hacked, although no classified information had been accessed, CNN said. The New York Post reported on Monday that a high school student claimed to have hacked into Brennan's private AOL account and the Comcast account of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. The hacker told the Post Brennan's private account contained sensitive files including his 47-page application for top-secret security clearance.

 An Italian court on Monday cleared activist writer Erri De Luca of allegations that he had incited crime by saying in an interview that a controversial high-speed train line cutting through the Alps should be sabotaged. The planned new line connecting the northern Italian city of Turin with Lyon in east-central France would include a 57-km (35 mile) tunnel. Cheers rang out in the packed court room in Turin when the judge said there was no case to answer for De Luca, 65, the author of prize-winning poems and stories.
