|  Emails between U.S. diplomats in Islamabad and State Department officials in Washington about whether to challenge specific U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan are at the centre of a criminal probe involving Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. The 2011 and 2012 emails were sent via the "low side" -government slang for a computer system for unclassified matters - as part of a secret arrangement that gave the State Department more of a voice in whether a CIA drone strike went ahead, according to congressional and law enforcement officials briefed on the FBI probe, the Journal said. Some of the emails were then forwarded by Clinton's aides to her personal email account, which routed them to a server she kept at her home in suburban New York when she was secretary of state, the officials said, according to the newspaper.

The human rights group said the killings took place during a security operation in the early hours of the morning shortly before the march when the military raided homes and a church where IPOB members slept. |

Outgoing President Ollanta Humala and the leaders of Colombia, Chile and Argentina congratulated Kuczynski, a former investment banker, after the results were announced. A mere 41,964 votes separated the two business-friendly candidates, underscoring the divided legacy of Fujimori's father, imprisoned former authoritarian leader Alberto Fujimori.

| U.S. accuses Valeant's Salix unit of kickbacks, false claims | | | By Jonathan Stempel NEW YORK (Reuters) - The United States has joined a whistleblower lawsuit accusing the Salix unit of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc of paying illegal kickbacks to doctors and submitting fraudulent reimbursement claims to the government. In a complaint made public on Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, the government said Salix knowingly paid kickbacks to doctors, including monetary payments and lavish meals at restaurants such as Le Bernardin and Nobu, to induce them to prescribe seven of its drugs and medical devices. Salix's alleged improper activity occurred from January 2009 to December 2013, well before Valeant in April 2015 acquired the company for more than $11 billion. |
