 By Greg Stutchbury WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns expects to be charged with perjury this month by British authorities and will travel to Britain to defend himself, the player said on Friday. The charges stem from a 2012 libel action he brought against Lalit Modi, the former boss of the Indian Premier League. The court ruled in Cairns' favour and ordered Modi to pay damages. Cairns said the Crown Prosecution Service had told him they intended to lay charges on Sept. 25. He said he would cooperate with British authorities. ...

 By Matt Siegel SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia on Friday raised its terror threat level to 'high' for the first ever time, citing the likelihood of terrorist attacks by Australian citizens radicalised in Iraq or Syria, despite stressing there was no knowledge of a specific attack plan. Australia is concerned over the number of its citizens believed to be fighting overseas with Islamist militant groups, including a suicide bomber who killed three people in Baghdad in July and two men shown in images on social media holding the severed heads of Syrian soldiers. ...

 BEIJING (Reuters) - Four people accused of participating in an attack at a train station in southwestern China went on trial on Friday, charged with murder and organising a terror group, a case that triggered a sweeping crackdown on what Beijing calls militant violence. The government has said knife-wielding militants from the unruly western region of Xinjiang launched a premeditated attack in March at the Kunming station in Yunnan province, in which 31 people were killed and 141 injured.  By Gerry Shih BEIJING (Reuters) - Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, China's largest telecom equipment maker, found four employees in violation of the company's policies on corruption as part of an internal inspection, a source familiar with the matter said. In response to the findings, Huawei has held training sessions to educate employees on how to steer clear of possible bribery, the source said, declining to be identified because he was not authorised to speak about the matter to the media. ...
