8:08:22 AM

British Prime Minister David Cameron addresses the media after a European Union leaders summit in BrusselsBy Elizabeth Piper LONDON (Reuters) - When Prime Minister David Cameron sealed a deal designed to keep Britain in the European Union after two days of talks in Brussels, his relief was short-lived. Within hours of Friday's agreement, one of Cameron's closest allies, Justice Secretary Michael Gove, and five other ministers declared they would campaign against him in a June 23 referendum on whether Britain should stay in the bloc. It was the first blow in what could be a new "civil war" in Cameron's Conservative Party over Europe.

Caste protests in Haryana cut water to New Delhi, hit industry
7:27:20 AM
By Douglas Busvine NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Widespread protests in Haryana have severely hit water supplies to the capital New Delhi, a metropolis of over 20 million people, and forced factories to close, as the army was deployed to contain violence that has killed seven people. The rioting in Haryana by the Jats, a rural caste, is symptomatic of increasingly fierce competition for government jobs and educational openings in India, whose growing population is set to overtake China's within a decade. Rapid urbanisation is putting pressure on water supplies after two years of drought, with the capital relying on Haryana to meet much of its needs.

U.S. officials said the site targeted in the strikes in Sabratha, western Libya, was a camp used by up to 60 militants, including Tunisian Noureddine Chouchane, blamed for two attacks on tourists in Tunisia last year in which dozens were killed.

Presidential rivals Champagne, Infantino clash over FIFA finances
2:50:30 AM

FIFA presidential candidate Champagne attends a news conference at the EU Parliament in BrusselsBy Brian Homewood ZURICH (Reuters) - FIFA presidential candidate Jerome Champagne has criticised the plans of rival Gianni Infantino as financially "dangerous" for global soccer's beleaguered ruling body. Infantino's campaign organisers said in response his proposals were feasible and could be achieved by savings in FIFA and possibly an increase in revenue. In a letter to FIFA's 209 member national associations (FAs), who each hold one vote in the election, Champagne suggested on Saturday that Infantino's plans could add an extra $900 million to FIFA's expenditure over the next four years.
