Justin Bieber to resolve Florida charges with plea deal - report

Canadian singer Justin Bieber performs on stage   during the "I Believe Tour" in HelsinkiPop star Justin Bieber was expected to plead guilty on Wednesday to charges including careless driving to resolve a criminal case brought against him after police said he was drag racing on Miami Beach in January, the Miami Herald reported. Bieber's representatives and Florida attorney would not confirm the plea deal to Reuters ahead of a scheduled court hearing in Miami on Wednesday afternoon but his attorney hinted a deal was in the works. Bieber, 20, who frequently makes headlines due to his party-intense lifestyle, initially was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and using an expired license after police stopped and arrested him while he was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini the morning of Jan. 23. Police said at the time of Bieber's arrest that two SUVs had blocked off the road so the singer could race a friend.




Planned U.S. cyber warfare program could hurt innocent countries - Snowden

In an interview with WIRED magazine made public Wednesday, Snowden said the program - MonsterMind - could hurt countries caught in the middle as hackers could disguise the origin of their attacks by routing them through computers in other nations. "These attacks can be spoofed," Snowden told the magazine. "You could have someone sitting in China, for example, making it appear that one of these attacks is originating in Russia.




RBI chief Rajan calls for better bankruptcy laws

The Reserve Bank of India Governor Rajan speaks   during a news conference in Mumbai(Reuters) - Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan said the country was in need of clearer procedures when companies go bankrupt and called for new rules to remedy the situation. "We need a bankruptcy code. Rajan said the country's economy was in a much better position to tackle external shocks than last year, when the rupee currency tumbled to a record low.
