| Belgium identifies Brussels bomb suspect, suicide bombers - media | |  By Philip Blenkinsop, Jan Strupczewski and Alastair Macdonald BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Belgian police have identified a prime suspect in Tuesday's Brussels blasts and two suspected suicide bombers, linking them directly to Islamic State militants behind last November's Paris attacks, Belgian media reported on Wednesday. Najim Laachraoui, 25, is believed to be the man seen on CCTV pushing a baggage trolley alongside the bombers and then running out of the Brussels airport terminal. Earlier some media reported that he had been captured in the Brussels borough of Anderlecht, but they later said the person detained was not Laachraoui.

| Belgium confirms brothers were suicide bombers | |  BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Two brothers carried out suicide bombings at Brussels airport and on the metro on Tuesday, the federal prosecutor confirmed on Wednesday, adding that airport bomber Ibrahim El Bakraoui had left a will on a computer that was found. His brother Khalid blew himself up on a carriage of the Brussels metro at Maelbeek station, Frederic Van Leeuw told a news conference. | Malaysia central bank says to act against 1MDB over $1.8 bln foreign funds | |  By Joseph Sipalan KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia's central bank said on Wednesday it would pursue administrative action against 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), after the troubled state fund missed a deadline to submit documents on its finances abroad. 1MDB, whose advisory board is chaired by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, has been the subject of investigations over the last year by authorities in Malaysia, Switzerland and the United States following accusations of financial mismanagement and graft. Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz said the central bank had requested documents from 1MDB after it failed to comply with a directive, issued in August 2015, to repatriate a total of $1.8 billion from its accounts overseas.

Tamara Green sued Cosby in December 2014, accusing him of lying when he publicly denied having sexually assaulted her, and six other women have since joined in the lawsuit. Cosby, 78, filed a countersuit in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts last month, accusing the women of defaming him.

| Belgium identifies Brussels airport attackers - media | |  The two men who blew themselves up at Brussels airport on Tuesday were brothers known to the police and a third attacker, who is at large, is a known Paris attacks suspect, Belgian media said on Wednesday. The suicide bombers were named as Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui and the third man as Najim Laachraoui. Federal prosecutors declined to comment, but said they would provide information in the course of the morning.

| Systematic drug use in Russian swimming, says The Times | |  Russia has undertaken systematic doping in swimming for years, the Times newspaper said on Wednesday, as the nation battles a drugs problem that could prevent the country's track and field squad from competing at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The Times said Dr Sergei Portugalov, Chief of the Russian Athletics Federation's Medical Commission, who was said to have provided banned substances to Russian athletes, was also involved in swimming. Najib has come under criticism over allegations of corruption linked to the debt-laden state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and deposits into his private accounts worth around $680 million. Mahathir accused Najib in the lawsuit of the "corrupt practice of carrying out various steps that were actively and deliberately taken in bad faith ... to obstruct, interfere, impede and derail the various investigations and inquiries which were being conducted by various legal enforcement agencies".
