Mexico drug boss Chapo files legal challenge against extradition - media

A judge granted him "provisional suspension", meaning that the foreign ministry has 48 hours to present a report justifying its decision, Mexican newspaper El Universal reported. Mexico's Foreign Ministry approved Guzman's extradition to the United States earlier in May, and said it had received guarantees that the death penalty would not be sought against him.

Heard, 30, said in court filings that Depp, 52, was abusive to her throughout their marriage, culminating in an argument on Saturday night in which he hurled a cell phone into her face and shattered various objects in her apartment. The filings includes pictures of Heard's injured face.




'Glee' star Mark Salling indicted on federal child porn charges

American actor Mark Salling arrives at the   Entertainment Tonight Emmy Party in Los Angeles, CaliforniaBy Alex Dobuzinskis LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Mark Salling, who had a supporting role as a high school athlete-turned-singer in the TV series "Glee," was indicted on Friday on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography, officials said. The 33-year-old Salling agreed to turn himself in on June 3 to face the charges filed in federal court in Los Angeles, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the region said in a statement. Representatives for Salling, a Los Angeles resident, and his attorney, did not immediately return calls.




Argentine court finds 15 guilty in Operation Condor conspiracy

By Hugh Bronstein BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Fifteen ex-military officials were found guilty by an Argentine court on Friday of conspiring to kidnap and assassinate leftist dissidents as part of the Operation Condor program. Condor was coordinated by dictatorships in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia to hunt down and kill exiled opponents in the 1970s and '80s. Former Argentine dictator Reynaldo Bignone, 88, the highest ranking figure on trial, was sentenced to 20 years in jail.


Colombia's ELN rebels free three kidnapped journalists

Spanish journalist Salud Hernandez, who went missing on Saturday in El Tarra municipality, was freed in the early afternoon and called into various radio and television stations to confirm her release. Colombian reporter Diego D'Pablos and cameraman Carlos Melo, who went missing on Tuesday after going to the largely lawless northeastern area to cover Hernandez's disappearance, were freed Friday evening and spoke live to their employer, Noticias RCN.

It has ignited an unprecedented dispute between Lebanon's most powerful group - the heavily armed Hezbollah - and a central bank widely seen as a pillar of the otherwise weak and dysfunctional Lebanese state.
